Sounds like maybe you need a newer linux kernel than is on the 
Skolelinux cd. 

Try first the "normal" debian lenny image, from here:
http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/
Do they recognize the harddrive and the cdrom?

After that you can try the testing version of Debian squeeze:
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/
